How It All Began...
The FreedomFiler company was born in October 2001 when the company's founder, Seth Odam, discovered that the need to continually maintain a household filing cabinet was a myth. From this day, the FreedomFiler company was established with the belief that no one should ever have to clean out a household filing cabinet ever again. The company's product design and philosophy are driven by a heartfelt desire to bring this revolutionary new filing process to anyone who wants freedom from paper pain, or anyone who wants to have a better way to tame paper chaos.

Cooperation With NAPO
FreedomFiler has been a member of NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers) since 2001, and has presented at NAPO conferences in 2003 and 2005 on the subject of maintenance-free filing. FreedomFiler supports NAPO members in their development of best practices in paper organization, and our product certification program is designed to augment, not to replace, the certification issued by the BCPO™ (Board of Certification for Professional Organizers™), a division of NAPO. FreedomFiler Certified Consultants are required to actively participate in NAPO or an equivalent professional organization. In addition, FreedomFiler requires new organizers to complete the BCPO™ certification or similar third-party training program before receiving the FreedomFiler certification, or to have already acquired equivalent profesional experience.
