How It All Began...
The FreedomFiler company was born in October 2001 when the company's founder, Seth Odam, discovered that the need to continually maintain a household filing cabinet was a myth. From this day, the FreedomFiler company was established with the belief that no one should ever have to clean out a household filing cabinet ever again. The company's product design and philosophy are driven by a heartfelt desire to bring this revolutionary new filing process to anyone who wants freedom from paper pain, or anyone who wants to have a better way to tame paper chaos.

While other filing literature and products have tried to address the issue of when and how to go about purging files, the FreedomFiler is the first system to eliminate the need for conscientious purging entirely - and hence a quantum leap in simplicity and efficiency is achieved. FreedomFiler's patent pending process guarantees that outdated documents are automatically replaced at the time of filing new ones. As a result, purging requires no conscious effort on the part of the user. There is never a need to set aside time for cleaning out files or to look up documents in a retention schedule. Cooperation With NAPO
FreedomFiler has been a member of NAPO (National Association Of Professional Organizers) since 2001, and has presented at NAPO conferences in 2003 and 2005 on the subject of maintenance-free filing. FreedomFiler supports NAPO in its development of best practices in paper organization, and our certification program is designed to support, not to replace, the certification and trainings provided by NAPO. FreedomFiler Certified Consultants are required to actively participate in NAPO or an equivalant professional organization. In addition, FreedomFiler requires new organizers to complete the NAPO certification or an equivalent third-party training program before receiving the FreedomFiler certification.
